DEVOTION OUTLINE FORM
FULL NAME: Daniel Fu DATE: 3/29/15 PERIOD: 1 “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it] to the wrath of God, for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
These 12 verses from Romans 12 of the book of Romans show of how the love of God toward us is greater than any love that we show to each other like love for other people, love for our families, cultures or countries and last, but not least love for special friend(s) because it is a selfless, giving, pure, “complete” and last, but not least, graceful growing real love that is created within and given to those people who believe in Christ equally and freely even when they were and are at their worst since it came from God’s nature of love. His love makes Christian believers naturally faithful to His purity and integrity and so God’s love will fight against the evil because it tries to destroy what His love is supposed to do. It is because of the love of God that believers of Christ think about how to help their fellow Christ believers instead of themselves and just like how God Himself came down to Earth from heaven to endure the wrath due to everybody’s sins. Christians anticipate the day where they are hopefully joyful about how they helped other people despite the trouble they went through and they hopefully pray that people will express love for each other. God’s love for everybody both recognizes everyone’s needs and try to help “meet” everybody’s needs because He is naturally interested in everyone’s spirit, soul and body and also. People who believe in Jesus Christ should try with all of their “might” to bring provisions of God to those people who are in need of all kinds of needs like emotional, physical, spiritual, etc. The love of God calls the Jesus Christ believers to unite themselves together by “joining” their hearts with both God-given sorrows and joys rather than just ourselves which shows perceivable proof of god’s love to everybody, even people who act to oppress Christians because love is able to unite people that seem to have almost nothing in common to unite around since the foundation of unity becomes known when people who believe in Christ change their hearts and minds such that they earnestly see all people equally adjust our own hearts and minds in the same way as Him and also it requires they do not think or act like they are superior than others but without living and acting in His love, it is impossible to achieve. Jesus Christ’s realization of God’s love fundamentally change Jesus Christ believers’ responses to the sins and evil being committed against them because it was Jesus, even while suffering in unbearable pain and shame, who begged God to

Introduction to Humanities Spring 2013 When In Rome... The roman Empire was vast and powerful so much so that we still have bits of it all around us today. From epic writings to building techniques even the modern calendar are all thing we can attribute to the great and powerful Roman Empire. in the epistles Romans, 1 Corinthians, and 2 Corinthians. In this paper, I will address what makes Romans such a powerful exposition of Christian doctrine. Paul’s purpose in writing any of the epistles was to proclaim the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ by teaching doctrine, edify, and encourage the believers who would receive his letters. Of particular concern to Paul were those to whom this letter was written—those in Rome who were “loved by God and called to be saints” (Romans 1:7). For the…
After the fall of the Roman Empire, Christianity became the religion of the Western world. Based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, Christianity incorporated certain perspectives from the Greek and Roman ages that preceded it. However Christianity began to take on a life and path of its own, and grew into a culture founded on moral purity and spiritual salvation to God. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and your mind. But the second commandment is equally important, ‘Love…

started to see flaws in his own beliefs of Manicheanism. He failed to find answers about his questions of epistemology and metaphysics from even the most astute Manichean teachers. Because of the flaws in the philosophy of Manicheanism, he deemed his devotion to Manicheanism worthless. Interestingly, his realization that Christianity was possible came through his studies of Platonic thought. He realized that evil was not something that God had to create. Through this realization, his objections with…
