Blue Light and Sleep Ever since 2000 there has been such a large rugh of electronics and a boom for making and people needing them. WIth that has come upgrades and the demand for more and with that has come the blue light that has been shown to hinder student’s brain development and also reduce the necessary time to sleep. “...evidence is mounting that use of artificial Light from energyefficient lamps and computer and mobüeelectronics screens later and later in the day can lead to significant sleep problems for adults and, particularly, children.” THe light is proving to be very strenuous with the increased used of electronics. Not just at school but in homes as well.
Many children between 1315 are using electronic devices before they go to bed and that light from the devices mimics that of daylight and in return messes with their circadian cycle and in return “... can easily come into conflict with a person's basic sleep drive.” THis can then interfere with what a student can do during a school day which has been decreasing with the increase use of electronics before bedtime. For the past few years researches have seen the decline in the amount of sleep one person gets. “In the past 50 years, Americans' average sleep time has dropped from 8.5 hours a day to only 6.9…” From that statistic many researches have seen that directly correlated with how a student does and how that student’s grades are. They say that even
