Billing Issue Team Report Team work and effective communication should be the most crucial part of any workplace environment because without team work, you have nothing but chaos and unproductive people. With people knowing how to be a team player and communicate correctly with one another, you will realize the success of your company can gain. It is very vital that each and every employee practice their communication skills to make sure everyone’s opinions are viewed equally and motivation is being promoted. The types of communication skills that are preferred on a team would be; people who speak clearly and make sure their messages are straight to the point, people who are respectful to other’s and their opinions, people who are good listeners, and people that are open to changes. By having a team with these skills, it will only make it easier for them to practice effective communication and know how to be an amazing team player with the knowledge to grow and provide their company the best outcomes. An organized and structured team starts out with mangers that are looking for people with knowledge and willing to grow within the company. You start off looking for members with different ethnicity, races, and views that could be combined to promote the best productivity. You look for people who are all on the same page with one another and are aware that they have the power to make the best decision possible when situations arise. When training an employee for your team, you should always make sure they have the confidence and skills in order to make such decisions. When managers make sure each team member is full trained and are aware of their role within the company, they will provide each employee with a sense of accountability because they will be prepared and will function at full satisfaction for productivity. Every work place will have conflicts ranging from minor to major. The types of conflicts we will see mostly in the billing department will be ego conflicts and misunderstanding/miscommunication. These two will pop up the most because they are the most common within team work because many people let power go to their head and gain large egos which then can cause confusion because even though they may be wrong, they will not admit it or take fault. Misunderstandings or miscommunications are always common among groups of people because sometimes people just do not understand the message that is being brought to their attention. Many people have hard times coming up with the correct words to portray their message and make it straight to the point. These are things that can be easily avoided on a team if they are trained correctly and know how to handle each situation in a professional manor. My team will solve problems by accommodating and compromising with one another. We will all maintain healthy work place relationships and will make sacrifices on things that may not be as important to everyone involved in the conflict. To make sure everyone knows their roles, based on their knowledge and skills will also help us avoid any conflicts. We will provide clear and direct instructions to each employee so they know what we are expecting out of them throughout
