Just imagine your child was diagnosed of having autism. The thought is horrifying. You know you will be faced with many challenges. Autism is a sickness that affects your communication, socialization, intelligence and you may act in a strange way. Raising a child with Autism requires a lot of patients and bravery. This illness will be a struggle on both of your lives. Am I alone? Are there other parents who are struggling? Many parents start asking themselves these questions. Parents of autism children usually find themselves feeling alone and depressed.
Autism has different meanings. The basic meaning is a neurological disorder which affects the brain from acting properly. Autism is usually a childhood disorder. “More boys than girls get this disorder” says https://www.auismspeaks.org. Many parents are not aware of the challenges that comes with autism. Autism is not a form of retardation their just trapped in their minds. “ASD can be associated with intellectual disability, difficulties in motor coordination and attention and physical health issues such as sleep and gastrointestinal disturbances. Parents of autism often feel alone because it is important to get support and to educate yourself. Having a child with autism will always be a challenge. Seek help if needed there is nothing wrong if you are feeling overwhelm. There are many groups on Facebook. Yet many people don’t know about them.
