Secular worldview vs. Christian worldview
Everyone has a worldview. Even if a person thinks that they don’t they do. The meaning of the word worldview is a comprehensive view of the world and human life. There are certain types of world view.
Secular worldview is a comprehensive view of the world from a materialistic, naturalistic standpoint. Secular worldview is the worldly view rather than spiritual. Many people consider themselves as Christians. The Christian worldviews is declining and is under attack from what is called secular humanism. Secular humanists are atheists. They believe that in the universe there is nothing above and beyond the universe. They believe that man, as the highest form of evolution, is responsible to create his own law and morality, and to save himself. They reject any concept of a creator in favor of evolution. Most secular humanists believe in the dignity and sanctity of human life. The secular humanist worldview can provide no reasons why human life should be protected. Therefore, abortion is acceptable or even encouraged in the secular worldview. They believe that our potential is blocked by certain sides set by the church and by parents. Secular worldview is that having others serve you is a measure or privilege of power, wealth and success. Also, secular view is based on the premise that we are in a position to judge whether or not we are good. Although, we look at ourselves as being good Christians we are not guaranteed a spot in heaven. To the final reality which is being taught everywhere and which is much of the framework of the thinking and writing of our day the final reality is thought of as material or energy which has existed in some form forever and which has its present configuration by pure chance.
Christian’s worldview is based on the word of God. When you believe the bible is then you can allow it to be the foundation of everything you do. Christian worldview is more that a religious belief system. In fact, the Christian worldview is a complete and integrated framework through which to see the entire world. A Christian worldview is a comprehensive view of the world from a biblical standpoint. Therefore, a Christian’s view of the world should be an integrated whole, comprised of a number of distinct, biblical elements. Indeed, each Christian should filter their day through a pair of biblical and spiritual goggles, and see the world as a harmonious set of beliefs and perspectives. The Christian worldview further proclaims that this powerful, intelligent God who created all things in heaven and earth is the same God who took upon himself human form in the person of Jesus Christ and died for our sins. Christianity proclaims a God who is both mind and heart, who not only created the world, but also loves it so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for it. Christianity is an awesome experience and can take us to a whole other level that you won’t be around to understand or be able to wrap your head around until you have actually experienced it. There are more Christians in the world now than ever
