Chapter 5 There are several fields in which an individual can work in, in the interior design profession. Some areas require training or experience others offer potions that trained interior designers can achieve without any experience. It is important to be creative, great salesperson, great artist, or even a spaceplanner to be able to find the perfect niche in interior design. There are design specialties in which designers decide to choose from, whether it be commercial or residential design. Some of the fields in which a designer can get into are: sustainable design, professional renders, model builders, product designer, marketing specialist, teaching, graphic and wayfinding, journalism, etc. An interior designer can choose in working either in a architectural office, independent design firm, manufacturer, retail departments store and many more. There are a wide variety of fields for a interior designer to choose from depending on what they a passionate about.
