Why Gay Parenting Shouldn’t be Allowed and How it Affects the Children For as long as I remember homosexuality has always been looked at as differently in the United States. It has always had negative judgments towards it, and wasn’t acceptable to society. Now it seems as if it is “normal” to be gay, lesbian, bisexual, and or a transvestite. Just recently some states in the United States have made it legal for homosexuals to obtain a marriage license. Not only is this not “normal” it is also against many religions. When earth was first created God had made Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Even or Eve and Amanda. It was simply a man, Adam, and a women, Eve. The purpose of a man and women was for procreation. I really hate to break it to the world, but it is physically impossible for two women or two men to have children together. In the bible it doesn’t talk much about homosexuality but when it does it is condemned as a sin. “It undermines the basis of God's created order where God made Adam, a man, and Eve, a woman--not two men, not two women--to carry out his command to fill and subdue the earth (Gen. 1:28). Homosexuality cannot carry out that command” (Slick). Homosexuality also corrupts the basis of a family, a mother, father, and children. What I’m trying to get at isn’t just about the sin the homosexuals are committing, but what about the children. Having parents that are two men or two women cannot be healthy for the child, and could possibly cause many issues later in their life. Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.”.(Holy Bible) It states very clearly that it is not acceptable for two men to lie together as a man and women would, and is the same for women. For a long time homosexuals have been denied the right to marry in the Unites States. If it has taken the United States this long to accept that homosexuals could marry, why do they think it is okay to adopt? Not only are the homosexuals going to get a lot of negative feedback from society, but now their will children too. Homosexuals should not be able to adopt children because of the possible affects it could have on the child being adopted. In the modern family, or what used to be, it was a father, mother, and their children. Now it has become more of mother, mother, children or father, father, and children. What does this teach children? It is showing children the wrong path to choose, and also opening their eyes to things that are not acceptable. Our society has become so corrupt that younger children think that it is cool to be a homosexual because they see all the others that choose that life. Actors/ Actresses, singers, and athletes are constantly being advertised because of their homosexuality. Now it is almost as likely to run into a Homosexual family as a modern family. According to The Williams Institute “As many as six million American children and adults have an LGBT parent.” This is ruining the basis family, which is helping keep America together. Parents are supposed to be the most influential and best remodels for their children. Many children look up to their mother to teach them certain things and same with their father. Mothers and fathers also give the child a balanced amount of love and attention in different ways. A mother doesn’t love the child the same way the father loves and or shows it. Children need the motherly and fatherly influences in their life to help them as much as they can. Homosexual parents cannot fill this role in parenting. Weather it is two mothers or two fathers, it still will not equal out the love the child will receive. Statistics show that children that have homosexual parents are less likely to succeed, and how much it affects the child’s life. It says that children that have lesbian or gay parents are likely to attain a lower education, more likely to receive welfare, more likely to suffer depression, and
