“Fun is a necessity, make time for it.” I chose this as my aphorism because there aren’t many things that I truly believe in and live by, but I live by this and I believe that it is extremely important in order to achieve happiness in life. This aphorism means to incorporate fun into your life whenever you can. If you have a very busy schedule and you never have fun, than there is no way to be completely happy. Fun is just as important to living as breathing. You need it to survive and to continue being a fulfilled person throughout the journey that is life. If you don’t make time for fun, you will get consumed by other things that are not priorities. That is why I make “having fun” a top priority fro myself. I came across this lesson a few years ago. I had a very large assignment for my Social Studies class and very little time to do it. When my teacher assigned the project, everyone in class was very confused as to how they were supposed to complete the project in that amount of time. We got it on
Wednesday and it was due on Friday. I immediately knew that I didn’t have time to do anything but work the entire week because I barely had enough time to finish my other class’s work. As soon as I got home I started working on it (this was Monday). I stayed up late every night and I continued to work on it with every spare moment that I had. When I went to my dad’s on Wednesday, I brought the project to his house so I could work on it. My little brother came up to me and asked me if I could play with him, but I said that I couldn’t because I had a lot of work to do. He said that I needed to play with him because “I needed to smile and stop being mean”. I hadn’t realized
