In addition, identify a board of nursing (specifically the Nurse Practice Act), which would support your role in this type of organization.

NURSE PRACTITIONER
Nurse Practitioners are trained to work in diverse settings such as private and public practices, acute and long-term settings. This writer is interested in working as a Nurse Practitioner in a sub-acute rehabilitation and long-term setting.
This paper will discuss and describe the Long-Term Care (LTC) facility that the proposed Family Nurse Practitioner would work in. It will also identify a Nurse Practice Act that supports the aforementioned role.
Out of all the many settings that are available to the NP to work in. The writer prefers a LTC for so many reasons. According to the Journal of Advanced Nursing, the high level of pain in long term-care has led to opportunities and need for NPs (Site reference). The research went further to conclude that the challenges of pain management has made it a global problem .
