The two candidates for the Governor race are Greg Abbot and Wendy Davis. We will start off with Greg Abbot . He is a strong supporter of the constitution. He is dedicated to fighting and repealing Obama care which he calls and unconstitutional tax. He is here to protect our 2nd amendment, which protects us from our own government. He is a defender of the 10th Amendment. “Texas’ greatest freedom enumerated in our Constitution is the Tenth Amendment (http://www.gregabbott.com/issues/).” It is there to protect our personal lives. Something the government is getting a little too much involved in at this moment. Overall Abbott knows the Constitution and he is here to do his job to defend it.
Wendy Davis is an abortion loving Democrat that wants to take away guns right away from Texans. “I haven’t pursued it as a senator because I know it’s like spitting in the wind,” Davis told the Texas Tribune. “But I still believe it’s the right thing. And if I was governor and a bill came to my desk that provided for background checks at gun shows, I would sign that (http://dailycaller.com/2013/09/18/wendy-davis-pivots-from-abortion-to-gun-control/).” I have a gun, and I had to get a background check for it. This woman is up to something she wants to take away the guns from the law abiding citizens in Texas. There is not much information about her. There is no information on her website about the issues she stands for. All her website is there for, is to collect money.
Greg Abbot seems like he would try to model Perry’s administration. They basically have the same views as each other. On the other hand Wendy Davis seems the opposite. Perry is pro-life, while Davis is strongly pro-choice. Perry is a strong supporter of the 2nd amendment, while Davis is a gun grabber. Her liberal mindset clouds her common sense. Anyone with a brain can see that guns lower crime rate. Look at the top 3 cities that have the most crime. What do they have in common? No
