Night
“I’m losing faith, forgetting whatever it was I believed in." In the book Night by Elie
Wiesel it talks about his experience in the holocaust. This book uses character development, interaction and symbolism to develop the theme of loss of faith.
In this novel, Wiesel uses interaction, character development, and symbolism to develop the theme loss of faith. “Never shall I forget those flames which consumed my faith forever.”
This quote shows how with the things he had seen, it made him lose faith and how it made him slowly change into a person who had no faith.
God was a symbol throughout the whole story. “My eyes had opened and I was alone in a world without God, without man, without love.” This quote shows how God was a symbol because he depended on him to give him strength but instead he lost faith.
Everybody in the holocaust was influenced by each other. “One day he said to me: its over, God is no longer with us.” All though this was not Elie saying this, it proves how everybody was feeling the same way, losing faith and hope. So that quote shows interactive.
In conclusion this story was all about how people lost their hope and faith after being in the holocaust. One might not be able to imagine the things that went through their head. If you were in there, you would lose faith as well. They were in the blackest storm and were hoping to have strength and get through all the pain from
