Distributed 945,000 relief supplies (clean-up kits, first aid kits, hygiene items, towels, water, cots, blankets, and safety gear)
Provided financial assistance to over 6,000 families
More than 1,000 volunteers mobilized

How is the money being used?
The funds are being used in four assistance phases:
Relief (3 weeks) : $5.9 million
Transition and Early Recovery (1 month) : $7.7 million
Recovery (1.5 years) : $12.5 million
Longer Term Development (1 year) : $8.9 million
What happened in Alberta?
Southern and central Alberta was hit with one of the deadliest natural disasters in the Canadian history
100,000 people were displaced, 4 people were killed
2,200 Canadian Armed Forces troops were deployed
Total damage estimates exceed $5 billion
In terms of insurable damages, it is the costliest disaster in Canadian history at $1.7 billion
