When fossil fuels coal, oil, and natural gases are burnt they release of CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions into atmosphere. Because of this, the layer of greenhouse gas is getting thicker causing the
Earth to become warmer. Thus the unlimited burning of fossil fuels is the cause of climate change. Climate change is greatly affecting California due to the drought and wildfires. Some possible impacts in the future caused by climate change can be severe water shortages within the next 25 years potentially affecting billions of people.
Another addition to the water shortage is that there could be a widespread crop failures and there could be a risk of war. There can be desertification and burning down of vast areas of agricultural land and regions.
