Student’s name: BEN
There are a good few ideas around an argument topic whether a company should recruit either younger employees or older ones or both of them. According to my own view, ageism means age discrimination, or to make it clearer, it means unfair treatment of people because they are considered too old. According to my opinion, I prefer young employees than old ones and three reasons for this will be explained below.
Firstly, I would like to talk about energy and enthusiasm of the young. Of the many young people I have known and approached, most of them have quite a great deal of ambition and their own career future plans. They are full of energy and have much motivation to work which we are easy to recognize in working environment in most businesses. It is totally opposite with old employees and due to the fact that employers would like to look for and recruit the young to improve efficiency and effectiveness in work. If you fail to compete with other young employees inside company and try to work by yourself, your position is not guaranteed stably. However, old employees’ strength is having much experience and working in their own way. In addition, they work carefully and follow a process with full stages planning in advance. Certainly, their position is totally stable because they have worked for a long time.
Secondly, the most important reason I would like to mention is adapting to new technologies and automatic machines as soon as possible. The young are very keen on new modern machines also new soft-wares which have concerned with computers. For instance, in most today’s societies, most businesses often use social media as Facebook, Twitter and Google+ to look for and attract potential customers by putting on new advertisements. Besides, they often use new communicative ways such as Skype, Yahoo to talk each other between colleagues inside company and other companies. Quite
