Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Joy Luck Club. Whoso would be a man must be a nonconformist. The question is basically asking me how the main characters in the books overcome societal struggles to become a person who does not go by the rules and does not abide by the law. In the book "Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn," by Mark Twain the protagonist is Huck Finn. He struggles through out the book so much. In the begining he is staying with a widow who ttok him in as her son but he does not like living with her because he has to dress in tight sweaty clothing, and have manners at the table, and get an education. At first he did not like going to school but a few moths later he began to get used to it. He did not like to do all these things but he had to. Also he had a father he was not an orphan, but his father was usually laying around somewhere drunk. In this novel Huck Finn is basically fighting against society. He fights agiainst society when he meets Jim. Jim is a black slave that belongs to the widow's sister. He ran away to avoid being sold. Huck Finn was kidanpped by his actual father one night after Huck came home from hanging out with his friends. After he was kidnapped he had to stay in a little cabin in the woods. His father was always getting drunk and would beat him all the time. So Huck finally decided he was going to run away. After he faked his death he ran away.
