The first job is looking for a Plant Accountant. The Company is GAF Materials Corporation located in Savannah, Georgia. There was no wage posted but the educational requirements were as follows: A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with 2 - 4 years’ experience, preferably in an Accounting/Finance environment. The company also stated that CPA, MBA, CMA is preferred but not required. The responsibilities of this job are to support accounting manager goals and activities and Plant processes to reduce cost and improve profitability. Ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality of all financial information, assist with annual physical inventory process and control ("Construction Job Force", 2013). The second job is looking for a Tax Accountant. The Company is Chemical/Petro-Chemicals located in Midway, Georgia. There was no wage posted but the educational requirements were as follows: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field, and a CPA would be a plus, 3 - 5 years’ experience in tax accounting and some requirements are, knowledge of basic office technology, strong organization and oral/written communication skills, project management skills, interpersonal and team skills, and be able to identify and pursue tax savings opportunities. Responsibilities are prepare Sales and use tax filings, prepare property tax filings, respond to federal and state taxing authorities, manage tax audits, complies tax work-papers for the annual federal and state tax returns, maintain tax tickler listing and the tax filing system, and assist with general accounting functions ("Monster", 2013 ).
