On Keats’s Sonnets
The sonnet is a wonderful way of expressing one’s thoughts in a brief but flowing way. Though in my own experience, no matter how talented the poet, if he can fulfill the set criteria for a proper sonnet the result may not be the most exquisite literary piece of all time. It will still have the song like sound that is associated with the sonnet.

I think that Keats does a wonderful job in providing a well put, well rhymed, and well structured poem. Keats also seams to write about a large variety of things, from peace, to death. Having this variety of art makes him more rememberable as a good poet.
Not writing about the the same thing in every sonnet that you read is a great quality about
John Keats. He also does an excellent job providing a bit of mystery in his poems to what they mean which makes reading his poems more enjoyable.

Milton also has a variety of subjects that he choses to write about in his sonnets.
Some of the subjects would normally be viewed as very different from the standard topic of a sonnet, such as his writing on a cat. The variety of subjects is not the only great aspect of Milton’s sonnets. Milton, similar to Keats, has a great way of saying something, but at the same time not saying it clearly. It makes a poem flow but you still get the mystery that comes with deciphering the sonnet to find the message. This, I think, is one of the most important parts of writing a true master piece.
