About Me I'm a proud mother of three children. I have two boys and a beautiful girl. I think I'm a good parent I always put my children first and what is in the best interests of my children. I work a full time position as a Licensed Practical Nurse. I learn every day how to practice high ethical standards and provide equal and consistent care to my patients. I'm also continue my education at south Suburban College to obtain my degree as a Registered Nurse. My daily life schedule is very busy. But it will pay off when I finish. Being a parent is one of the most fulfilling experience for me. The most important aspect a parent can give their child is unconditional love. There are many different things that I take into consideration when it comes to parenting. A parents have many responsibilities but there are three in particular that I think are very important. Being a good role model is important, as well as listening to my children and disciplining them appropriately. However my mother give me a great gift of diligent and determination, it lead on the right direction of my road, more importantly, she has helped me appreciate my life as a precious gifts of ordinary life and true happiness by her kindly heart. I always keep in mind that I don't have to be infallible to be "perfect" parent. I think I'm an excellent parent to my three kids. Because they very all graduated from high school and now that they are attending college as well. I will always be there for my children no matter what. I support their dreams and goals, even when they seem to be impossible. The knowledge I have I to will share it with my children to help them better their self. Things I teach them can be life- long skills to prepare them for the real world. My role as Licensed Practical Nurse is to perform clinical patient care, assess Patients vital signs, assist patient with daily care, administer medication, following and carrying doctor order out, assist doctor in procedures and patient care. I work in a long term care facility as clinical manager. So that mean I also have to lead by example. I have some key aspect that stand out about me. Integrity is the number one key for me. I know my limits, and able to admit my faults. Maintaining integrity is hard sometimes, but it is base of the profession to me I am honest and work hard, that is wrapped up with integrity. Integrity gives me "tough skin". This something I learned in nursing school that stuck with me. Nursing is not for everyone, I definitely have to be very strong and compassionate person to take on the illness of others. It doesn’t take me long too caught on to things.
When I start working my first nursing job, I was put on orientation with a nurse who had been doing nurse for 34 years. To me that was a privilege. Because she ended up being that nurse that I have been working with for the last 3 years. And I only been a nurse that long. But while I was orienting with her one day she ask me how long me how long I’ve been a nurse? I stated I just become a nurse, she said are you serious!! I said yes why, she said the way you carry yourself and performing makes me think you been a nurse for a while. I asked her what do she mean, then she reply saying because you are catching on very quick. To me nursing is like a puzzle with a "millions" of pieces that I have to put together. The biggest thing that helps me to balance me going back to school. My
