Dying Generation Abortion is a topic that is constantly debated worldwide. I believe that is should not be happening anywhere because you are killing innocent babies and it does not benefit anyone. I feel as if the law should change so that abortion is illegal. These three natural law philosophers: St. Thomas Aquinas, R.M Dworkin and Plato would agree with my newly changed law. St. Thomas Aquinas was greatly influenced by Christian Teachings. The bible to him was basically law. Aquinas dealt with the question of whether it is permissible to section the uterus of a pregnant woman if this is the only way to baptize the fetus that is in danger of dying. The argument in favor of doing this is that the eternal life of the fetus is more important than the temporal life of its mother. Aquinas refuses to allow this and quotes St. Paul (Rom. 3:8) who says: "We should not do evil that there may come good." It is an impermissible evil, according to Aquinas, to impose direct physical harm on a pregnant woman (in all probability causing her death) even when the good that is intended "the eternal salvation of the fetus" might be construed in a particularly theological sense to be a greater good than continuing the temporal life of the mother. "Abortion is a violation of natural law and is always wrong, no matter when a soul may be infused into the developing child's body." (Catholic Answers, Aquinas opinion). He believed that abortion was unnatural and against the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church. The Roman Catholic Church believes " that all life is sacred from conception until natural death, and the taking of innocent human life, whether born or unborn, is morally wrong". (Fr, William Saunders, "The Catholic Church And Abortion"). "You shall not murder"
