Abortion

If I were president of the United States, I would get rid of abortion. Abortion is defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy. I would get rid of abortion, because an abortion is murder against the baby, an abortion can greatly damage the woman getting the abortion’s health, and an abortion is extremely unethical. To begin, I would get rid of abortion, because it is murder against the baby. I believe that the birth of a child begins at conception. Many people try to claim that the unborn is not alive, but it is a scientific and medical fact, based on experimental evidence, that the fetus is a living, growing, thriving human being, directing his or her own development. In fact, by the end of the second month of pregnancy, the fetus has a working heart and eyes, and is developing ears, a nose, lungs, arms and fore arms, legs and thighs, hands and feet, and developing muscles. After nine weeks, unborn babies can feel pain, yet 48% of all abortions are done after this point. At this point, the baby is very developed before his mothers’ pregnancy is even noticeable. This is the age of a baby, that the government is saying can be killed. A fetus is a person, and we know that killing an innocent person knowingly is murder. Secondly, I would get rid of abortion, because it can greatly damage the woman’s health. Post-abortion dangers can haunt the woman in a variety of ways. Women also have an increased chance of getting breast cancer. “Every study of induced abortions performed before the first live birth is consistent with an initial increase of at least 50%,” Reports Dr. Joel Brind, Professor at Baroch College. Many other studies agree with this position. Lastly, I would get rid of abortion, because it is extremely unethical. Many abortionists portray abortion as a beneficial act; however there are many health haxards, and it is an
