Course Description: A survey of world civilization from the earliest times to the Sixteenth Century. Focus is on the social, economic, political, cultural and geographic characteristics and different value perspectives that have shaped civilization. Societal development from a historical perspective. Offered Fall and Spring semesters.
Prerequisite: None
Course Description: Performance based course that provides students with public speaking skills in the context of cultural influences and resources. Analysis of the ways in which culture and society shape perception of appropriate public speaking as well as how public speaking affects the values, attitudes and beliefs of people from a range of society and cultural backgrounds. Offered Fall and Spring semesters.
