Hello, today I will be writing about Electronic Health Records (or EHR). First, I will be discussing the value of electronic records. Electronic records have the following values. One, they are now easier to access for doctors and patients online or during the delivery of care. Testing is now available quicker so the doctor can speed up the care process. Now a more in-depth record of medical history can be kept which can include things as past injuries, doctors notes, past or present medicines and even allergies. In some cases it can even be able to give a doctor across the world your history and that could save lives, I think. I feel the health care is moving to EHR for the following reasons. One, with the upcoming reform and millions of people without insurance and just like that they will have it. The demand is going to be high and the EHR they can deliver care faster. Also, with the growing demand and a fast accurate delivered in my opinion. I feel that the network will carry the load when it comes to EHR. They will have to make sure that the doctor and staff have the records in a safe secure manner so that the staff can deliver the much needed quality care. Overall, the network will have to say get the doctor and patient test results and or x-rays in a timely manner. Two, keeping everything flowing with accounts payable or accounts receivable. Over all this is going to depend largely on the network. If they do, the quality of care will continue to improve even with the
