The data protection act 1998: is a law for the safety of personal data. Which means people have the right to information wrote about them including doctor, hospital, social services and care notes. However, no personal information can be obtained about anybody else.

In particular, it provides the way which people diagnosed with a mental health disorder can be detained in hospital or police custody and have their disorder assessed or treated against their wishes, unofficially known as sectioning.

Maintain records
The best way to maintain records is to write down what how and why you have done something at each call.it needs to be shareable. By doing this at each call nothing is missed out and that way the document stays full of fact. Also it needs to be readable to whom needs to read the record, the best way to do this is to write in black ink if you have hard to read style of wring use capitals you shouldn’t use any other color other than black ink as it can be easily changed to something else.
