E-Safety
With technology and social media becoming an integral part of our society, it is important to be aware of the risks and dangers that are present. Young people and children may not always be aware of such things when online, so it’s vital to always keep them clued up.

S=Safety.
Safety should always be the key concern when online. Always remind young people and children that they shouldn’t disclose any of their personal details when online, especially if they are talking to a stranger. This includes passwords, home addresses, usernames, or more specific info, such as, where they go to school and their school timetable.

A=ACCEPTING.
Unless they are completely sure who the sender of messages such as emails, texts, instant messages, picture messages or files and folders. Ensure that you inform your children that messages and files they receive could be inappropriate to read or look at and they could include harmful virus.

T=TELL.
Remind children and young people that you will always be there to listen to any, fears, worries or concerns they may have. If someone on the internet, through email or text is making them feel uncomfortable, bullied or pressured, reassure them that they can come to you for advice.
