At Havering college there is requirements that must be met of both acts covered above and plus making sure all data within the college is protected.
Health and safety
As you walk around Havering college you will identify the ways of health and safety met. For example, there is an Co2 Extinguisher Gem Glow - Safety Sign which is in A block on the top floor outside A203, This sign is there to show any visitors, staff pr students how to use the fire extinguisher in case of a fire, the sign is there to instruct on how to use it. All around Havering College within each block there is fire resistant doors which should be shut at all times in case of a fire.
If there was to be a fire all students are told to remain calm and follow all instructions that are given from members of staff. The instructions that are usually told are to calmly get up leave all your belongings within the room and sensibly walk down to the car park which is located at the back of the college which is where everyone should go. For those who have a disability and not able to walk properly there is a evacuating chair which is placed at the top of the stairs which is easily able to unfold and be used within a fire to be able to get them down the stairs quicker.
