Getting a boyfriend is easier than it seems. Just be yourself and follow these steps.

1. Make sure he doesn't have a girlfriend. It's pointless to go after someone who is already in a relationship! Also, beware that if he just went through a break up, he might just be on rebound. The feelings wouldn't be what you are seeking. 2. Make the first move. If you find a guy/girl who you share a lot in common with, don't wait for them to ask you to hang out. If you're a "shop 'til you drop" person, invite them to the mall with you. If you love books, invite them to the library or a poetry night with you. Do something he might share in common with you. He might also be shy, so he might not be the one to approach, either because he thinks you're out of his league or because he thinks you might reject him. 3. Take it slow. Don't rush or crowd your new friend. Hang out every once in a while to begin with, then start hanging out more often. Give each other space. Usually, if you hit it off really well and have a lot of fun together, the friendship will tend to automatically grow into more frequent visits. Just try not to be that girl who looks too desperate. 4. Smile. When he is looking at you, just smile and he will do it right back. Humans respond to smiles intensely and immediately, and when heading towards a man of your choice, he'll get a powerful non-verbal message that you're nice and approachable. Consider this your "First Move." Even if you've never spoken before, he'll be compelled to notice and eventually say hello to you if you keep eye contact and smile. 5. Be approachable. This is especially important if he's the kind of guy who's used to having girls approach him. It's imperative that you be different because you'll stand out more. Do nothing at first but lock eyes, smile, and turn your attention elsewhere or keep walking. Be disciplined and wise enough to know that if you give in to your physical attraction and pursue him before he's had to invest any amount of time (not just the time between the beginning and end of the party) getting to know you, then you lose. 6. Engage him to talk. He won't know that you're great unless you've aroused his desire to know. It's ineffective to blab on about every detail about yourself because you'll leave him with nothing to be curious about! Instead of using your natural language skills to frustrate a guy, use them to create a mystique about yourself by being selective about what information you give him so that he has to ask questions and wonder about you; be a puzzle that he'll want to spend time figuring out. This doesn't mean you have to pretend to be more deep or interesting than you really are, but it does mean that you sure have hobbies, goals, and opinions you can talk about in an interesting way. 7. Try to become friends. Most guys tend to date girls who they have more things in common than just the "relationship" stuff. Being close friends with him makes it easier for you to interact with him, and harder for him to say no once you tell him. 8. Keep going. Don't just stop at the first friend you make. Keep meeting and hanging out with other people. Before you know it, you'll have a whole circle of friends. Variety is the spice of life, so it's important to build a network of friends; that way, there's little chance of anyone becoming bored with your company because you've got so many friends to keep in contact with; none of them gets to spend more time with you than any of the others. In fact, a helpful tip to ensure that people feel like they can't get enough of your company is to deliberately limit the time you spend with them; leave them wanting more. 9. Find out who he's interested in. It would suck to chase after this guy just to find he likes somebody else already. Make sure that he either likes no one (because then you have a chance to make him fall for you) or that he likes you, which he probably won't tell you. 10. Show him that you would be a good fit for him. You
