WARNING
Do not conduct Troubleshooting Procedures in a contaminated area. It could cause illness or death.

NOTES
PMCS should be performed prior to conducting troubleshooting procedures
Warfighter should report any problems to the next higher maintenance level.

Operator Procedures
SYMPTOM/FAULT
1. High Breathing
Resistance

PROBABLE CAUSE
Disk valve sticking
Blockage in airflow
Filter saturated or plugged

2. Low Drinking Rate

ACTION
• Clean inlet, outlet, and self-sealing valve seats
• Check inlet and outlet air passages for obstructions
• Report to next higher level of maintenance Water level low in canteen

• Refill canteen

Drinking coupler not fully engaged • Press drink tube coupler into cap with thumb

Shut off valve spindle not fully open • Turn drink lever on fully

Blockage in system

• Clean drinking system

PROBABLE CAUSE
Damage to facepiece assembly.
Filter not properly installed.
Mask incorrectly sized or fitted.
Incorrect harness adjustment.

• Examine facepiece for damage; report to Field Maintenance (WP
0024 00)
• Check and reinstall filter (WP 0032
